Why the Ground Sometimes Shakes

Mohg is very chonky.
He is not supposed to run much,
but sometimes he forgets.

Sometimes there is a ball.
Sometimes a squirrel.
Sometimes a leaf that moved wrong.
Sometimes Pebble.

When Mohg gets happy, he runs.

His body is short and solid and joyful,
and when his feet hit the ground,
the ground feels it.

So when the earth shakes, people do not say it is dangerous.
They say, “Mohg must be running.”

They imagine him somewhere far away,
ears back, mouth open,
chasing something very important for a few seconds.

Pebble is ahead of him, of course.

The ground shakes because Mohg is happy,
and happiness, when it runs,
is heavy.
